It was the best of times…we laughed…we sang…we rejoiced…and all was going well. There was no end to celebrating our God because He has caused us to triumph victoriously over all of our adversaries. Then, without a moments notice…it was the worst of times…the laughing ceased…the singing ended…the joy was replaced with sorrow…and everything took a turn for the worse. Our once never ending ascriptions of praise and adoration have turned into murmuring about and questioning the same God we were just celebrating only moments before.
In a state of panic, we begin to operate in fear as our faith begins to diminish. We search for solutions in every place except the One we were, only moments before, celebrating for His wondrous acts and for Him being mighty to save and deliver. In our moments of fear, we must slow down long enough to remember and reflect on the goodness of God towards us in times past. “Have faith in God…” (Mk. 11:22). He is still the same God Who delivered us before…he never changes (Heb. 13:8)…#thinkonthesethings
