When those who have not accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior come within the midst of a community gathering, the atmosphere is supposed be different because God’s government should be in place. The mission of the church is to paint a portrait of the Kingdom of God manifested in action. As we implement the principles of the Kingdom of God, we will begin to see the manifestation of the healing of and deliverance from the “these kind” spoken of by Christ in Mark 9:29 and the fulfillment of His personal testimony in Luke 4:18,19. Most importantly, we will be empowered to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, 20 and the last prophetic speaking of Christ concerning the church while He was physically present on earth in Acts 1:8.
It is more than just telling someone about something we have been told or something we have read within the Bible. Although, that is a part of the mission, the main portion of the church’s mission that we always tend to exclude is the actual living out of the principles of God’s Kingdom. Our words mean nothing if there are no actions to follow behind them, and they will often fall on deaf ears as a result…#thinkonthesethings
