Today is a holiday. I am so used to be awake and moving about by this time. Today, I decided would be a good day to sleep in a little because I do not get much sleep on a regular day. I was awakened early by the slightest of sounds…this is the norm. I thought about allowing the day to pass without posting anything…I mean, I post every single day…
But as I lie in bed and looking at the ceiling, I remembered the message from yesterday by the pastor’s son, “My Conviction.” In short, our convictions are the things which drive us and cause us to continuously look toward fulfilling our purpose. When our passions are clearly defined and aligned with the Will of God, we become convicted within our inner man to pursue those things which God has assigned to us predeterminately. In other words, even when we do not feel like doing anything, WE FEEL COMPELLED TO DO THE WORK OF THE LORD!
That is our lot in life. We love God because He first loved us, and because we love Him, our desire is to be obedient to Him IN EVERYTHING!
So what did I do? I got out of bed and I wrote this to let you all you that we all are guilty of this…regardless of how committed we are to the cause of Christ. However, my conviction would not allow me to go one day without writing something about the goodness of the Lord.
Enjoy your day as we commemorate the lives of those who have given their lives in order to secure our daily freedom…#thinkonthesethings
