Understanding why the period of consecration is necessary when preparing for service is of paramount importance. The understanding that, as the Priestly Kingdom of God, we must not approach the sacred things of God unless our hands are clean and our hearts are pure must remain at the forefront of our minds as we engage in the ministry appointed unto us. Our hearts must remain open to receive from the Spirit of the Living God. Our ears must remain attentive to hearing the voice of God. Our hands must remain prepared to engage in the work of the ministry. Our feet must remain ready to carry us into our area of service for the Lord.
There are sure to be those things and people diabolically assigned to distract us from fulfilling our purpose and attaining our goal, but we must always “…be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…” (1 Cor. 15:58). As long as we continue to keep “…looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher or our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God…,” we should be able to complete our period of consecration successfully and remain ready to continue our efforts at fulfilling purpose and engaging in the work of the ministry (Heb. 12:2). Consecration is a must…regardless of how difficult the process may be…Holiness remains the standard as it relates to handling the sacred things of God’s Kingdom…#thinkonthesethings
