Whenever we lose our way as a result of our spiritual and moral compass needing to be recalibrated, we should always return to our Manufacturer in Heaven. Sometimes, the things within the church appear to be similar to the things within the world, and it makes it difficult to differentiate between the two. We have become accustomed to the similarities to the point that we have become desensitized to sin that accompanies these actions.
The urgency of the need for a REAL revival is permeating the atmosphere (1 Kgs. 15:9-15; 2 Kgs. 11:17-21). The urgency for a REAL return to the lifestyle of holiness is filling the hearts and minds of the faithful remnant that God still has within the ranks of society (1 Kgs. 19:18). The urgency for a REAL experience with something greater than themselves is consuming the collective society…however, they do not know where to begin their journey to gain that experience.
The world cannot find the REAL experience with something greater themselves because what they are in need of is not a thing, but a relationship…a Divine encounter with the One Who is able to fulfill the longing for something REAL. But how will they ever know how and where to begin if we, ourselves, are out of sync with the Spirit of the Living God ourselves? We cannot expose the world to God if and when we, ourselves, are struggling to have a Divine encounter with Him. So what are we supposed to do?
The prophet Hosea provides the solution to the problem in 6:1,
“Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up…”
The people within the world can begin to experience something REAL once we begin to demonstrate what a REAL experience is through our daily walk of holiness in relation to our daily Divine encounter with God. So come…let us return unto the Lord!
