The Truth Is…

Our presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be aligned with what the Bible teaches. We must present the WHOLE truth of the Gospel message to the lost and dying world, which is this:

Although it is true that the Bible teaches against sin and speaks of impending judgment to those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior…the Bible also teaches of the ability to receive forgiveness for sin and everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ as the result of becoming the recipients of the grace and mercy of God…

Most people in the world already have a warped view of the Bible from the onset. It, thus, becomes our responsibility to ensure that we, as ambassadors of the Kingdom, do not misrepresent the King and His offer of redemption and reconciliation through our lack of knowledge, experience, and preparation. How do we remedy this problem?

Paul suggests that we…

“…Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly diving the Word of Truth…” (2 Tim. 2:15).

If we cannot and do not provide an accurate portrait of who others can become in Christ because we ourselves are found wanting, then we need to “…remember therefore from whence thou (we) art fallen, and repent, and do the first works…” (Rev. 2:5)…
