The Intentional Plan Of God

Living intentionally produces the fruit that determines whether or not we are in alignment with God's plan for our lives.

Taking possession of the promises of God for our lives has to be an intentional act on our parts. Why? Because God has intentionally designed the covenant blessing for our lives as a part of His overall plan for kingdom advancement. We are His Kingdom representatives and stewards of all that belongs to His Kingdom here on earth. Although it does not yet appear to the human eye what we shall be in eternity, we must realize that we are already now on a Divine trajectory for this unveiling to come to pass (1 Jn. 3:2).

This means that every event that takes place within our lives is never about us. Neither the good successes, nor the bad tragedies, should be viewed from a human standpoint. They must all be viewed through the Kingdom lens of God’s eternal purpose which was designed for the complete salvation of His creation and the reconciliation of humanity to Himself.

Therefore, we must “endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” intentionally (2 Tim. 2:3). Why? Because it is a part of the intentional plan of God to restore Divine order to His family and restore Divine harmony within His creation. This is the promise and blessing for which we all must learn to live intentionally.

  1. “Every event that takes place within our lives is never about us.” That line makes me think hard. Intentional living–with the intention of being part of God’s plan, whether we understand how that is so or not. Very difficult!
    Thanks, Sean.

  2. This is a bold statement. Nothing that happens in my life is about me. I think you’ve got a point there, Sean. Whatever it means, I’m clear about the things God brings into my life. They always have a link to a project or to people. I know it doesn’t mean God isn’t bringing things into my life without a plan that’s larger than I am. Still thinking about this one.

  3. Intentionally

  4. Sometimes it is hard to believe that He is intentional…but He is!!!
