Church Pollution?

Church pollution disrupts the harmony existing within our relationships between God and others.

“And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?…” (Judg. 2:2).

The purpose of not co-mingling with the inhabitants of the land was to prevent the introduction of chaos into God’s system of Divine Order within the community of Israel. The practices of the inhabitants threatened to pollute the worship practices of Israel and the special covenant relationship they had with the One True and Holy God. The same instruction in which God requires obedience in relation to His people being in the world, but yet remaining separate from those within world and refraining from participating in their activities still stands today.

God desires to have the preeminence within our lives. In order for the order of holiness to remain undefiled within our lives, we must make a daily practice of separating ourselves from the elements within the world which threaten to pollute the temple of the Holy Spirit (our lives).
