“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you…” (Deut. 4:2).
The Word of God is complete in every way, shape, form and fashion. Many have attempted both in the past and in contemporary times to scrutinize the validity of Its authorship, inspiration and origin. However, the Word has withstood every test It has been subjected by any spiritual or human being.
Many do not believe the Word as It stands in Its current form and attempt to make revisions to accommodate their beliefs and lifestyles. To do this is to minimize the intention of Its Source of origin and the Power that lies therein. When we begin to add to or remove from the Word, we are making It ineffective in fulfilling Its purpose (…everything in creation has a purpose…).
