“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee…” (Deut. 31:6).
When faced with uncertainty, feeling fear is a natural recourse. Although it is an understandable response, we do not need to remain in this fearful state. As believers, we are given the assurance that the Lord is with us always in the Gift of the Holy Spirit Who lives within us (Mt. 28:20). This is a standing promise which will not change. So there is no more need to be fearful of anything that is uncertain to us. With this promise in place, we can rest assured that God has already gone before us and prepared the path upon which we must walk. He is the One Who will lead us and guide us on through life’s journey until we reach His desired destination for us.
