“…Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures…” (Deut. 32:34)
“…For who hath known the mind of the Lord…“(1 Cor. 2:16)? This question brings even greater conflict to the mind of those who are already conflicted. Conversely, it is a demonstration of the Infinitude of God’s wisdom and how His ways and thoughts are far higher than ours, which gives us more reason to trust in Him regardless of our inability to fully comprehend what is in His mind (1 Cor. 2:7, 9; Deut. 29:29; Is. 40:13, 14; 55:8, 9).
It is at the Lord’s discretion for the time and manner in which He chooses to reveal these secret things to us. Many times we are not adequately prepared to receive them, therefore, it would be unwise to disclose them. Why? Because in our human and finite inability to fully comprehend the times and seasons in which God moves and works within His creation, we would move according to our own projected time schedule.
With this in mind, we must understand that our timing may not be in sync with God’s timing. As a result, we run the risk of jeopardizing God’s purpose and plan for the surrounding world, and God is unwilling to take this risk along with us. Therefore, He withholds certain aspects of His plans for us to protect us from ourselves.
“O the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out…” (Rom. 11:33)
