The conquest of the land promised by God is not going to be an easy acquisition. We will face much opposition on the trek to assuming possession by those who once bore great influence in our lives. Sometimes this opposition will come from those who are self-professed opponents. At other times it will come from those who once provided leadership and guidance to us. One thing is for certain…it will come.
One thing my pastor said during this sermon on Sunday was, “When you begin to start getting serious with God, your Pharoah will begin to add more to your daily burden.” This thought resonated with me more than anything else that was spoken largely because of where I am currently in my own personal life. But I also begin to think, “How many other people out there are experiencing the same level of opposition, if not more?”
Once God sends forth the word of deliverance to speak to our situation, the enemy will increase his attacks to keep us from realizing what we already have been told….WE WIN! He will begin to attack in those areas of our vulnerability and will not relent until he has broken us and carried us back into bondage. But our God and Father will not have us to return this way again, but will make a way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13).
Remember, “…we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed…” (2 Cor. 4:8,9). So hang in there, we are almost there…the promises of God are within our reach…
